so very true lomax. And the be honest, CS is just as good to this very day! We need to return to our roots!
MPcon's roots were NEVER in CS. yes plenty of CS people attend, however Quake has always been the game of choice.
on the topic of WoW. When you have 20+ people coming from one wow guild it becomes a team game.... Imagine that, an MMO that is team oriented, concept!
And most of the ]MP[ wowers played in other games such as starcraft, Gridiron, ra3, etc. sure we play alot of wow there too but its not all we do. (I actually enjoyed going out to eat w/ my guildies more than playing games, so social this!)

After running MPCon for the last couple events and seeing what people play and how they enjoy themselves I feel that anyone should be able to play whatever they want. No ports should ever be blocked for games and people can play whatever they want, whenever they want. We have a mic in the staff section. If you wanted to get a lan game of Syndicate Wars going, I'm sure someone at the lan would want to play it if they had a partner. You are welcome to use the mic to announce any game you want to play and 90% of the time someone will hear you and playing whatever game it is you mentioned.
